The Utica Post 229 Senior team begins its quest to repeat as District 5 Champions Sunday at 11AM at Murnane against Oriskany Post.  The Senior team qualified with a 13-5 league record winning the Air Force Division.  Please see playoff preview for details.

The Utica Post 229 Junior team finished the season with a 11-7 record, earning the 5th seed in the District 5 playoffs.  The Junior team will face Love Post Saturday at 7PM at BYAA in Boonville.  Please see playoff preview for details.

The Utica Post JR team fell to the undefeated Oneida Post JR team by a score of 7-1 at Murnane Field tonight.  In the night cap, the Utica Post SR team defeated the Oneida Post SR team by a score of 10-0 in 5 innings.  Pat Histed went the distance on the mound allowing only one hit.  Box Score

Both Utica Post 229 baseball teams won by the identical score of 5-0 last night.

The Utica Post 229 Senior team defeated Smith Post by a score of 5-0 behind the complete game performance by Parker Goldsmith.  See boxscore.

The Utica Post 229 Junior team defeated Oriskany Post by a score of 5-0 behind the complete game performance by Jayson Bonner.

The Utica Post 229 JR team started the game with 3 consecutive errors which lead to an early 6-0 deficit which ended with a loss to Whitestown JR by a score of 12-5 at Murnane Field.

In the nightcap the Utica Post 229 SR team defeated Whitestown by a score of 2-1.  See Box Score for details.

The teams have the no games scheduled over graduation weekend.

The Utica Post 229 Senior team swept Ilion post in a doubleheader last night in a rematch of last years District 5 Championship game by scores of 12-1 and 3-0.

The Utica Post 229 JR team defeated Coast Guard Division leading Johnson Rogers Post by a score of 5-3.  Nick Batinelli threw 4 strong innings, allowing 3 runs.  Brandon Treen closed out the last 3 innings with five strikeouts.

Felix De Asa De La Cruz had 2 hits and 3 RBI, Jayson Bonner had 2 hits and an RBI, and Rob Conley had 2 hits for Utica Post.

Utica Post JR team plays a non league contest tomorrow at Delutis, and then has a showdown for first place in the Marines Division on Thursday at Murnane Field at 5PM.

The Utica Post 229 Senior team defeated Helmuth Ingalls by a score of 13-2 behind the 1 hit performance on the mound by Parker Goldsmith.  See box score here.

The Utica Post 229 Junior team posted it second consecutive shut out in defeating New Hartford Junior team 8-0 behind a no hit performance by Reilly Fischer.

 

The Utica Post 229 Junior team won its second consecutive league contest yesterday with a 10-0 (5 inning) victory over Clonan Wicks Staley Posts.  Chaz SanFilippo earned his second victory in as many starts on the mound, allowing only 2 hits and no walks.  Jayson Bonner led the way offensively with 3 hits and 4 RBIs.

The Junior team is back in action Friday at New Hartford.  The Senior team plays a non league contest against Cooperstown tonight at Murnane.

Utica Post 229 Senior team was shut out by Morris Edwards Post (St. Johnsville) by a score of 1-0 at Murnane Field tonight.  Please see box score here.

On Friday night at Murnane Field, the Utica Post 229 Senior team was an inning away from posting back to back league shutouts.  New Hartford Post scored three runs in the top of the 7th inning to come away with the 3-2 victory.  See box score here

On Saturday the Utica Post Junior team traveled down to Vestal for a double header, getting swept by scores of 7-5 in game 1 and 11-3 in game 2.

On Sunday the Utica Post 229 Senior team was back in action at Murnane in a non league contest against the Brockville Bunnies.  Utica bounced back from the last inning lost with a couple wins by scores of 4-3 (8 innings) and 18-4.  See details for Game 1 and for Game 2.
